Colorado upset No. 21 Iowa State Saturday afternoon, but it unsurprisingly was not enough to move the 2-4 Buffaloes into the top 25 of the US LBM Coaches Poll.
The Big 12, however, had four teams make this week’s poll. Texas Tech still owns the top spot in the conference, moving up two spots to No. 8. BYU continues to rise in the national poll, slotting in at No. 14 after a double overtime comeback win against Arizona. Utah (No. 22) is ranked again after a solid home win against Arizona State. Cincinnati is the last Big 12 team to be ranked this week after beating Iowa State and USF in back-to-back weeks.

Iowa State and Arizona State fell out of the poll following their Week 7 losses. Both the Cyclones and Sun Devils are still in the receiving votes section, as are Houston and TCU.
USC was the biggest riser this week after beating Michigan, moving up 12 spots to No. 21. Ohio State retains the top spot with Miami (No. 2), Indiana (No. 3), Texas A&M (No. 4) and Ole Miss (No. 5) rounding out this week’s top 5.
If Colorado continues to string some upset wins together, they could see themselves receiving votes with games coming up against No. 22 Utah, Arizona, and Arizona State.

Colorado will go into its bye week on a high note after its best win of the season and open Week 9 with a road trip to Salt Lake City against a likely ranked Utah Utes squad.
