The 2025 Rugby Championship ended with hooker Lionel Oviedo as the only uncapped roster member. He remains a potential debutant in November; however, Bautista Bernasconi is fit again to likely join Julián Montoya and Ignacio Ruiz.
Tight Head prop came under scrutiny larte in the Rugby Championship. The uncapped 33-year-old Facundo Pomponio plays for Montauban in the Top 14 as does 20-year-old Gael Galván who made his debut for La Rochelle this past weekend. He was pulled-off early, suggesting a Pumas debut in November 2025 is not likely.
No second-rower has debuted in 2025. There are nonetheless players who have been on rosters such as Luciano Acevedo and Franco Carrera, the latter of whom debuted for Zebre Parma in the United Rugby Championship (URC) this past weekend. In addition, Pumitas Alejandro Barrios and Álvaro García Iandolino are both now in the Top 14.
Argentina has strong depth at flanker and N8 but there is always a need to identify emergency cover. Aitor Bildosola and Genaro Fissore both had outstanding Super Rugby Americas seasons. They play flanker and N8 respectively. Meanwhile, Bautista Stavile has been playing excellent rugby in the URC but he is linked to likely selection for Italy.
Former Super Rugby Americas player Martín Roger is playing his rookie season for Zebre Parma. He kicked the team to wins over Edinburgh and the Lions. His younger brother, Nicolás Roger is a Pumas rookie.
Centers Leonardo Gea Salim and Tomás Medina both had excellent seasons in Super Rugby Americas. They both cover both mid-field positions, though Gea Salim’s best chance of a Pumas call-up is arguably inside center while Medina’s is outside center.
Los Pumas 7’s player Tobías Wade impressed for the Argentina XV earlier this year. In the event that a new options is needed for fullback

Tight Head prop Eduardo Bello continues his recovery while Pedro Delgado is now a professional with the Harlequins. Both are above possible returnees, the only question is the fitness of the former.
Second-rower Efraín Elías is very well-placed for international duty in November. The Toulouse player has been in fine former this season. He missed July and Rugby Championship considerations due to a fracture.
Back-rowers Bautista Pedemonte, Facundo Isa and Joaquín Moro are all busy with their clubs. They are different styles of player yet all cover both flanker and N8.
Injury forced Gonzalo García and Tomás Albornoz out of the concluding round of the Rugby Championship. Both are expected to be named on the roster for November.

Long-serving second-rowers Matías Alemanno and Tomás Lavanini are yet to play for Argentina in 2025. Others are now preferred ahead as is the case of back-rower Rodrigo Bruni. Any of them could return.
Scrum-half Gonzalo Bertranou has won one cap in 2025. He and Domingo Miotti have different experience for Los Pumas but share the commonality of being established in positions that Contepomi has opted for newcomers in 2024-2025.
Rosarinos Jeronimo de la Fuente and Emiliano Boffelli have not played for Los Pumas all year with the latter not having a cap since Rugby World Cup 2023. Inclusion for either is not likely for November.
