ROYSE CITY — Royse City claimed its first District 10-6A victory, 38-17 over Tyler Legacy.

Royse City quarterback Jamion Richardson was 15-of-23 passing for 272 yards and three touchdowns as the Bulldogs improved to 5-2 for the season and 1-2 in district play. Richardson also rushed for 41 yards and a touchdown on just two carries.

Legacy dropped to 2-5 and 0-3.

Xavier Watson rushed for a team-high 62 yards on 12 carries and Zavier Brown ran for 35 yards and a TD on 10 carries.

Royse City’s top receivers included Bryson Arney (5-98, 1 TD), Kemarion Clarke (5-78, 1 TD), Jonathan Williams-Townsend (1-36), Cole Crawford (2-34), Hudson Hays (1-16, 1 TD) and Tay Angui (1-10).

Caddo Mills 48

Gainesville 7

CADDO MILLS — Caddo Mills celebrated homecoming with a 48-7 District 5-4A-II win over Gainesville.

The Foxes improved to 4-3 for the season and 1-2 in district play while Gainesville fell to 1-6 and 1-2.

Caddo Mills quarterback Colton Ponton passed for 313 yards and four TDs while Wyatt Watson ran for 186 yards and two TDs on 20 carries. The Foxes’ next top rushers were Ponton (13-49) and Justin Robinson (13-49).

The Foxes’ top receivers were Tristan Hardwell (6-95), Kollin Heath (5-88, 3 TDs), Steven Stiggers (3-48, 1 TD) and Nolan Lyday (2-23).

Quinlan Ford 42

Wills Point 0

QUINLAN — Quinlan Ford’s Panthers rushed for 423 yards and six TDs to win their homecoming game 42-0 over Lake Tawakoni rival Wills Point.

The Panthers, who are averaging 399.6 yards rushing per game, remained undefeated for the season at 6-0 with the victory in the District 6-4A-II opener.

Ford’s rushers included Devon Williams (6-123), Payton Wallen (5-78), Zander Sharp (6-53, 1 TD), Tyler Andrews (6-39, 1 TD), Mason Tigue (5-36, 1 TD), James Barker (4-24, 1 TD), Emmanuel Sevilla (2-24, 1 TD), Daniel Chavez (1-14), Colton Huggett (1-11), Dylon Fulgham (2-11, 1 TD) and Raythen Capps (1-10).

Wallen was 3-of-6 passing for 22 yards. The Panther receivers with catches were Tigue (2-14) and Huggett (1-8).

Lone Oak 59

Prairiland 42

PATTONVILLE — Lone Oak upped its season record to 5-1 and District 9-3A-II mark to 2-0 with a 59-42 win over Prairiland.

Lone Oak quarterback Slayde Parnell was 15-of-21 passing for 268 yards and three TDs.

Daniel Barhona led the Buffalo rushers with 126 yards and a TD on 23 carries.

Colt Bowman rushed for 83 yards and a TD on nine carries and Alex McCallum ran for 20 yards and a TD on seven carries.

Moi Perez led the Lone Oak receivers with four catches for 107 yards and two TDs. Next leading receivers for the Buffaloes were Dillon Cline (2-53), Max Ramirez (3-42) and Barahona (3-22, 1 TD).

Boles 31

Paul Pewitt 26

QUINLAN — Boles knocked off favored Paul Pewitt 31-26 to claim its first District 9-2A-I victory.

The Hornets are now 3-4 for the season and 1-2 in district play. Paul Pewitt fell to 4-2 and 1-1.

Boles quarterback Grayson Drennan was 4-of-15 passing for 76 yards and a TD and rushed for 67 yards and two scores on 15 carries.

Elijah Granado also ran for 56 yards on 12 carries and Cameron Simpson ran for a TD.

Braylon Jordan led the Hornet receivers with three catches for 66 yards and a TD.

Wolfe City 49

Trenton 14

WOLFE CITY — Wolfe City mixed the passing of Noah Adams with the running of H.D. Davis to outscore Trenton 49-14.

Wolfe City upped its season record to 3-3 and District 6-2A-I mark to 2-0. Trenton is now 2-5 and 0-3.

Adams was 9-of-13 passing for 181 yards and three touchdowns. Casen Pessel also threw a TD pass.

Davis, who was averaging 165.6 yards rushing per game, ran for 183 yards and two TDs on 13 carries.

Brennon Russell caught three passes for 79 yards and two TDs. Davis caught two passes for 50 yards and a TD. Pessel caught two passes for 32 yards and a TD. Daniel Guillen caught two passes for 35 yards and Austin Bongratz caught one pass for nine yards.

Jory Young ran for a 41-yard TD at the end of the game.

Rylan Smith also rushed for 35 yards on five carries.

Trenton, which operated a time-consuming offense, scored on an 84-yard touchdown pass to Zacchary Phifer and a 25-yard run by Ethan Greer.

“Offensively I’m extremely proud,” said Wolfe City coach Brad Smithey. “We took care of the ball and came out healthy. That’s all you can ask for.”

Clarksville 21

Celeste 7

CELESTE — Celeste dropped to 1-2 in District 9-2A-II play with a 21-7 loss to Clarksville.

Celeste quarterback Case Kittleson was 9-of-18 passing for 51 yards.

Case Reisor led the Celeste rushers with 63 yards on 17 carries.

Celeste’s top receivers included Levi Gross (2-29), Reisor (1-13), Kaleb Adams (2-3) and Levi Melton (2-3).

Clarksville improved to 5-2 and 2-1 while Celeste is now 1-5 for the season.

Cumby 50

Detroit 16

CUMBY — Cumby rushed for 404 yards as the Trojans whipped Detroit 50-16 on homecoming.

Leading rushers for the Trojans included Chayton Vaughan (5-130), Dakari Johnson (11-109), Mitchell Kerby (7-91) and Channing Herman (9-53).

Herman was 4-of-8 passing for 71 yards and two TDs.

Vaughan led the receivers with two catches for 60 yards.

Cumby is now 3-3 for the season and 2-0 in District 9-2A-II while Detroit dropped to 2-4 and 1-2.

Avalon 84

Greenville Christian 47

Kade Johnson rushed for 466 yards and 11 touchdowns on 18 carries to lead No. 12 state-ranked Avalon to an 84-47 six-man football victory over Greenville Christian.

Avalon stayed undefeated at 6-0 while the Eagles dropped to 4-3.

“They were as advertised,” said Greenville Christian coach Brandon Fauley. “Strong, fast and very disciplined.”

Jack Feezel passed for 155 yards to lead the Eagles.

Levi Williams totaled 124 yards and a touchdown for the Eagles. Jacob Wacasey totaled 85 yards for Greenville Christian and scored three TDs. Also scoring TDs for the Eagles were Kylan Donnelly, Owen Johnson and Ethan Pletcher.

Avalon quarterback John De La Garza was also 4-of-8 passing for 94 yards and a TD.
