Lady Vols basketball NCAA Tournament bracketology projection for 2025-26 season

Tennessee enters its second season under head coach Kim Caldwell ranked top 10. The Lady Vols are ranked No. 8 in the preseason 2025-26 women’s basketball AP Poll.

Tennessee is projected to finish fourth in the 2025-26 SEC women’s basketball standings, behind South Carolina, Texas and LSU.

Ahead of tipping off the 2025-26 campaign on Nov. 4, Charlie Creme of ESPN released preseason NCAA Tournament bracketology projections. The Lady Vols are projected to host as a No. 2 seed in Region 1 Fort Worth.

Tennessee would play No. 15 seed Maine in the first round. No. 7 seed Princeton and No. 10 seed SMU are also projected to play in Knoxville during the NCAA Tournament first round.

UConn is projected as a No. 1 overall seed, while Colorado is the first team out and Columbia is the last team in the NCAA Tournament.

Caldwell guided the Lady Vols to a 24-10 (8-8 SEC) record and advanced to the NCAA Tournament Sweet 16 in her first season at Tennessee.
