The ANNIKA driven by Gainbridge at Pelican is an LPGA Tour tournament hosted by Annika Sörenstam held in Belleair, Florida, with a pro‑am on the Wednesday of tournament week that is open to the public and sold separately.

The 2025 event runs in November at Pelican Golf Club and features a $3.25 million purse for the tour competition, with the pro‑am scheduled for Nov. 12–13 and tickets available to fans for the Wednesday pro‑am day.

Tournament organizers and Gainbridge announced on Thursday that Caitlin Clark, the Indiana Fever/WNBA star, will return to play in the Wednesday pro‑am at The ANNIKA for a second consecutive year.

Clark reshared the news on her Instagram shortly after with the message, “will try not to hit anyone 🙏.”

Clark entered the WNBA as the No. 1 overall pick (2024) and quickly became a national draw, leading the league in assists her rookie season (8.4 APG), while averaging 19.2 points, 5.7 rebounds and 1.3 steals across 40 games and leading the Fever to their first postseason since 2016.

Unfortunately, after earning WNBA Rookie of the Year, All-Star and first team All-WNBA honors as a rookie, the first to do so since Candace Parker in 2008, Clark was held to a mere 13 games this past season due to multiple recurring lower‑body injuries that ultimately ended her season.

Several NBA and NFL stars have previously appeared at celebrity/pro-am events — Steph Curry, Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce and Tom Brady have all taken part in high-profile charity and celebrity tournaments (American Century, The Match, European celebrity pro-ams).

Retired stars from tennis and soccer also regularly show up at DP World/European Tour pro-ams (Andy Murray, Gareth Bale).

For the LPGA, adding a WNBA superstar (and arguably the face of women’s basketball) in Clark to the event adds significant mainstream intrigue.
