The Indiana Fever endured plenty of injuries during the 2025 campaign, with the likes of Caitlin Clark, Sophie Cunningham, Sydney Colson, Aari McDonald and Chloe Bibby suffering season-ending injuries.
As a result, the Fever had to sign multiple players on hardship contracts to fill their roster. Among those players added was 10-year WNBA veteran Aerial Powers.

Powers initially signed a seven-day hardship contract with the Fever on Aug. 23. Due to the slew of injuries, however, the Fever eventually gave her a rest-of-season contract. The 31-year-old guard played eight games for Indiana during the regular season, averaging 9.0 points, 4.6 rebounds and 2.4 assists.
Now, in a recent vlog she made in which she interviewed her Fever teammates, Powers looked back at the whole experience and how welcoming the players were to the newcomers like her.

During her conversation with Clark, the All-Star guard told Powers that it’s part of the Fever’s culture to make everyone feel “welcomed” and have a “really good time.” Clark also shared that she loved having Powers on the team.

Following their talk, Powers made sure to show her appreciation for Clark.
“I also I want to say, from the bottom of my heart, thank you for making me feel welcome,” Powers said.
Powers is a free agent this offseason, and as Clark told her, not everyone who was part of the 2025 roster will be able to return in 2026. Indiana had 16 players at the end of the season, and only Clark, Aliyah Boston and Makayla Timpson are under contract.
Regardless of whether Powers is re-signed by the Fever or not, there’s no denying that she had an unforgettable experience with the team.
