We’re almost there, almost back in the grind of another college basketball season. Before you know it, there will be a foot of snow on the ground, temperatures will be below zero and another Atlantic Coast Conference game going up and down the court inside Purcell Pavilion.

To get you ready for those nights and get you ready for a Notre Dame season that starts Monday, November 3 at home against LIU Brooklyn, we’ll take an alphabetical player-by-player look at the 2025-26 Notre Dame basketball team over the next 13 weekdays (Wednesday October 15 thru Friday, October 31). Who are these guys? What did they do last year? Where do they fit in this one? And what does third-year head coach Micah Shrewsberry think of them?
Noie: What Notre Dame basketball player followed in his father’s Hinkle Fieldhouse footsteps?
We have the answers. Here:
∎ (2) Logan Imes
Hometown (High School): Zionsville, Indiana (Zionsville)

Dimensions: 6-foot-4, 195 pounds
Projected position: Backup point guard
Class: Junior
Notable number: Imes logged double-figure minutes in six of the seven games that Markus Burton was out with a right knee injury early last season. He played a career-high 35 minutes in the overtime loss to Rutgers after Burton was hurt. After Burton’s return, Imes played double figures only once, 13 minutes, at Clemson in late February.
24-25 stats: Averaged 1.9 points, 1.0 rebounds and 0.6 assists in 9.2 minutes over 26 games, including two starts. Shot .378 percent from the field, .235 from 3 and .688 from the foul line.

25-26 outlook: Imes will continue to work in a role that Shrewsberry believes is best for him – that of a program guy, someone not concerned about his stats or starts but just wants to be there to help, whatever that entails. This season, it might mean minimal minutes (and maybe a few DNP-CDs, did not play, coach’s decisions) as the third handler behind Burton and sophomore Sir Mohammed. As long as Shrewsberry’s the coach, Imes has a place in his program.
Shrews on Imes: “You could paint the bleakest picture possible to Logan and if he feels like you believe in him, he’s going to run through a wall for you. Since the season’s been over, all spring and summer, that’s what he’s done. He’s gotten back to being a really confident player.”
