LSU football may have a chance to pick up a quarterback for its 2026 class due to a recent coaching change.
Troy Huhn decommitted from Penn State, per a report from ESPN last week. He had been committed to the. Nittany Lions since June 2024 but the firing of head coach James Franklin led him to reopening his recruitment.

A native of San Marcos, CA, Huhn is a consensus four-star prospect. ESPN is the highest on him, ranking him No. 9 at his position and the No. 187 overall prospect in the class. He originally picked Penn State out of a top three that included Ohio State and Auburn.
LSU was in the original mix for Huhn but never separated from the pack. The Tigers missed on every passer they targeted in the cycle, including Beau Bentley and Bryson Beaver. Now, they have a chance to secure a prospect loaded with power four offers.
Huhn stands at six-foot-four and 220 pounds. He would be the second California commit alongside Los Angeles native Havon Finney.
