The Wilson Staff Model X and Chrome Tour X followed closely. Value options like Maxfli Tour X again punched above its price point, offering short-game spin numbers not far from tour-level performance.
At the other end, balls such as Callaway Supersoft, TaylorMade SpeedSoft and Titleist Velocity produced significantly lower spin. The decision for golfers comes down to high-spin urethane for precision and stopping power or ionomer-covered designs for added launch and rollout.
