  • She led the Indiana Fever to their first Commissioner’s Cup and WNBA semifinals.

  • Mitchell’s Kelz Hoop Foundation supports young athletes; camp alumni recently excelled in tournaments.

Kelsey Mitchell had a memorable campaign with the Indiana Fever in 2025. The 5-foot-8 guard averaged 20.2 points on 45.6% shooting, 1.8 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 2.5 triples in 31.4 minutes per game. Mitchell had to carry a heavier load throughout the season with the Fever dealing with multiple injuries, including the season-ending groin injury of cornerstone superstar Caitlin Clark.

Mitchell finished fifth in the MVP vote and was named an All-Star for a third consecutive year. She led Indiana all the way to the semifinals of the WNBA playoffs and was integral to the Fever’s first-ever WNBA Commissioner’s Cup title earlier in the season.

Off the court, Mitchell has done her part to give back. She established the Kelz Hoop Foundation, which aims to encourage and support “student athletes with limited opportunities in their pursuit of playing competitive sports.”

Part of Mitchell’s initiatives is the Kelz Hoop camp in her native Ohio. The program is open to boys and girls from Kindergarten to Grade 12.

A couple of her camp alumni recently made waves in a local tournament, and Mitchell just had to make a proud flex on social media.

“shut up and work!❤️‍🔥these two living proof of KELZHOOP!” she posted on Instagram.

The Cooper twins, who both previously took part in Mitchell’s basketball camp, turned heads with their strong performances in the Ballin in the City tournament on Sunday. They are described as two “fast-paced, high-scoring guards who’s energy can fuel the game.”

As for her basketball, Mitchell will participate in the second season of Unrivaled in January alongside Fever teammates Aliyah Boston and Lexie Hull.

Mitchell is no longer under contract with the Fever after her one-year deal expired. She will officially enter free agency on Feb. 1, when the window opens.
