Many Big Ten football teams had this weekend off, but that didn’t stop this slate from producing many nail-biters in conference games. USC solidified its spot as the No. 4 team in the Big Ten the win against Nebraska. Indiana continues to cruise through the season, and Illinois got yet another bounce-back win after a blowout loss.
Here are the scores from this weekend in Big Ten football for Week 10, along with my breakdown for each team:

Ohio State 38-14 vs Penn State
As expected, Ohio State had its way with Penn State. The Heisman case for Julian Sayin continues to grow. He threw 4 passing touchdowns and 300 passing yards. The pass game looks great right after the bye, and Ohio State’s offense now looks just as good, if not better than their defense.
Illinois 35-13 vs Rutgers
Illinois has responded perfectly after each loss this season. They looked miles ahead of Rutgers in Saturday’s win. Luke Altmyer had a great performance, throwing for 4 touchdowns. Illinois may get blown out by the cream of the crop teams in the Big Ten, but against the bottom teams, they dominate just like Indiana.

Indiana 55-10 vs Maryland
Indiana steamrolls another opponent. Their resume continues to look strong, and currently, this is a team that has no holes. The Hoosiers should be the betting favorites to win the whole thing.
Minnesota 23-20 vs Michigan State
Minnesota showed last week they aren’t that good, but this week they showed they are not Michigan State bad. Michigan State could not make the plays necessary to win this game in overtime. However, Alessio Milivojevic showed great promise in this one, even outplaying Drake Lindsey.
Michigan 21-16 vs Purdue
Michigan needed this bye week badly. The Wolverines have a lot of injuries, and this team has a lot to clean up. Michigan faced adversity in this game against Purdue as Bryce Underwood played poorly. It was a step back for the freshman phenomenon. If he would of made a couple more throws in this game Michigan wins by 30. A scrappy Purdue team took Michigan all the way to the brink. Michigan can not show up like this against Ohio State.

USC 21-17 vs Nebraska
King Miller and the Trojans‘ run game carried the Trojans’ offense to a big comeback win versus Nebraska. Dylan Raiola gets hurt in the 3rd quarter, and things ultimately fell apart for the Cornhuskers. The Trojans tried to give this game away, but ultimately they were the better team down the stretch in the biggest moments. The Trojans keep their playoff hopes alive with a win and prepare for two big showdowns upcoming on their schedule.
