Indiana Fever player Sophie Cunningham is one of the hottest names in sports right now. Ever since she got ejected on behalf of superstar teammate Caitlin Clark early in the WNBA season and became an overnight star, off-court opportunities have flown her way.
Cunningham has leveraged her increased popularity into major brand deals with Adidas, Arby’s and Ring. Since the WNBA season ended — Cunningham averaged 8.6 points per game as Indiana won their first playoff game in a decade — she has been a constant presence in front of the camera on shows like “Good Morning America” and her podcast “Show Me Something” with reality television star West Wilson.

Cunningham’s latest video to catch attention was not from her TikTok, but rather one with actress Sydney Sweeney at the NASCAR Cup Series Championship at Phoenix Raceway on Sunday.
“so fun,” Cunningham commented on the popular Instagram video posted by NASCAR.
Championship Sunday took place in Phoenix, where Cunningham spent the first six seasons of her WNBA career with the Phoenix Mercury before joining the Fever in 2025.
She played in 182 regular season games for the Mercury and another 15 in the playoffs, sharing the court with women’s basketball legends Diana Taurasi and Brittney Griner.

She and Sweeney got front row seats to see Kyle Larson take home his second NASCAR championship in overtime after a dramatic collapse from Denny Hamlin.
It was not the first high-profile sports event Sweeney appeared at this week. The “Euphoria” actress attended Game 4 of the World Series at Dodger Stadium on Tuesday and provided a voiceover for Fox’s intro video for the same game.
It’s hard to know what is next for Cunningham as her whirlwind offseason keeps going, but she did put an offer on the table to join Clark for a big event next month. What is clear after Cunningham got the call to appear alongside a bonafide Hollywood star like Sweeney is that her celebrity is only continuing to grow.
