Veteran Indian spinner Ravichandran Ashwin has been ruled out of the Big Bash League after he was all set to make his debut as an Indian player in the BBL. He has suffered a serious injury that has ruled him out of the competition.
Ravichandran Ashwin was all set to become the first Indian player to be drafted within the Big Bash League by the Sydney Thunder side. He had withdrawn from the ILT20 auction as well and had confirmed full participation in the Big Bash League.

Ravichandran Ashwin plans to feature in the overseas league as an Indian player for the first time after he announced his retirement from international cricket and the IPL as well. Planning for a full season in the BBL, he was ruled out of participation, having suffered from a knee injury in Chennai.
