WWE Confirms New Ring Name Ahead of NXT Debut on CW Network

by

WWE has officially confirmed that Dani Sekelsky, the Season 2 winner of WWE LFG, will now be known as Skylar Raye—just hours before her expected appearance on the November 4 episode of NXT on the CW Network.

WWE filed a trademark for the name “Skylar Raye,” leading to speculation that it could be the new identity for Sekelsky, who earned a contract with NXT after submitting Penina Tuilaepa with The Undertaker’s Hell’s Gate finisher in the WWE LFG season finale on October 28.

That speculation is now over. WWE has confirmed that Sekelsky will officially debut under the Skylar Raye persona and is entering the Speed Women’s Championship tournament, which kicks off tonight on NXT.

Raye’s first match will be against Fallon Henley. The winner will advance to face either Wren Sinclair or Zaria, who square off in the other semifinal. The tournament was created after Sol Ruca was forced to vacate the Speed Women’s Title due to injury on last week’s NXT.

WWE’s filing for “Skylar Raye” includes the standard legal boilerplate for all wrestling trademarks, citing use in live events, broadcast media, online content, and merchandising. The move mirrors previous name rollouts, including P-Nasty’s rebrand to PJ Vasa.

Sekelsky had previously appeared on NXT in early 2025 using her real name but never competed in an official match. That all changes now, as Skylar Raye is set to enter WWE’s developmental system with full momentum behind her.

Will Skylar Raye live up to the WWE LFG hype and capture the vacant Speed Women’s Championship? Or will her debut fall short against Fallon Henley? Let us know what you think about the rebranding and who you’re backing in the tournament—drop a comment below.
