Texas head coach Sean Miller, who left the Xavier Musketeers in March to coach the Longhorns, lost his first regular-season game, as Duke handed Texas a 75-60 loss in the Dick Vitale Invitational.
Miller’s squad led 33-32 at the half, but was outscored 43-27 in the second half.

Dailyn Swain, who played two seasons for Miller at XU before following Miller to Austin, scored a team-high 16 points and added six rebounds. Lassina Traore, who joined Miller and Swain at Texas after missing last season for the Musketeers because of an injury, added five points and nine rebounds.
Miller’s Musketeers defeated Rodney Terry’s Longhorns in March in the First Four in Dayton. Texas fired Terry, and Miller left for Austin.
