Tom Izzo continues to look to the future of Michigan State basketball, even as the current season got underway this week.
The Spartans picked up a commitment from four-star 2026 recruit Jasiah Jervis on Wednesday, Nov. 5. The 6-foot-5 Bronx native and product of Archbishop Stepinac High in White Plains, New York, is rated No. 35 overall and the the second-best shooting guard in his class according to 247Sports.com’s composite rankings.

Jervis reportedly picked MSU over Tennessee, Pitt, North Carolina State and others.

“I chose Michigan State because it felt like a family as soon as I got on campus,” Jervis told On3.com. “Coach Izzo was super passionate and involved throughout my whole recruiting process.”
Jervis joins 5-11 point guard Carlos Medlock Jr. and 6-7 power forward Julius Avent in the Spartans’ four-star 2026 class. And Izzo might not be done, with MSU in the mix to land Ethan Taylor from Missouri, a five-star prosect who is a 7-foot center rated as the No. 23 player in the nation.

The 21st-ranked Spartans, who beat Colgate 80-69 in their opener Monday, host John Calipari and No. 15 Arkansas at 7 p.m. Saturday at Breslin Center (Fox).
