Former Arizona women’s basketball star Aari McDonald will be joining former opponents and former teammates in her first season with Unrivaled. Team rosters were announced on Wednesday evening with the Wildcat alumna joining forces with Paige Bueckers and Cameron Brink, among others, on Team Breeze.
McDonald has history with both Bueckers and Brink stretching back to their college days. In Arizona’s 2021 run to the national championship game, she was key to sending Bueckers and the UConn Huskies home in the Final Four. In the next game, she and her Wildcat teammates fell a point short of Brink and her Stanford Cardinal for the title.

McDonald was also a teammate of Brink and Rickea Jackson during that pair’s rookie season with the L.A. Sparks. Former Iowa guard Kate Martin and French post player Dominique Malonga round out the six-player roster.
While Jackson and Brink are teammates on the Sparks, the other former players come from different WNBA franchises. McDonald was waived by the Sparks before last season, but she ended up with Martin’s college teammate Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever. Bueckers plays for the Dallas Wings. Malonga is with the Seattle Storm.
League play begins for Unrivaled’s second season in January of 2026.
