MANHATTAN — Kansas State women’s basketball will add frontcourt help to the 2025-26 roster after the Wildcats landed an international prospect who will join the team in mid-December.
Ivona Scekic, a center from Ljubljana, Slovenia, has signed with the No. 25 Wildcats, the school announced on Thursday, Nov. 6. She will look to fill the void left by Kennedy Taylor, whose waiver to play an additional year at K-State was denied by the NCAA.

Scekic has participated in multiple events as a member of the Slovenian national team, competing in the 2025 FIBA U20 Women’s EuroBasket and the U18 Women’s EuroBasket this year.
During the U18 event, she played in seven games, averaging 5.7 points and 6.9 boards. She is listed at 6-foot-4.
By joining the Wildcats in mid-December, she would be with the team prior to Big 12 play, which begins Dec. 20 at TCU. Their final non-conference game is Dec. 14 at Creighton.
