After a dominating victory over Penn State at home on Saturday to run its record to 8-0, the Ohio State football team hits the road to face a Purdue team that’s still trying to win its first Big Ten game in over two years.
And while that sounds like the Buckeyes are looking to swat away a gnat disguised as a train banging a really big drum, the Boilermakers have been awfully competitive in most weeks this season, including a five-point loss on the road at Michigan last week. But this next game is a different story because OSU is coming in with a No. 1 in the College Football Playoff rankings hanging around its neck.

It’s first-year head coach Barry Odom’s first game against Ohio State, and he met with the local media in West Lafayette to discuss and preview the matchup. Odom took a focus on his own team’s mantra, but did complement the coaches and players, and knows what a challenge it will be to play a team with so much talent.
Ohio State and Purdue are set to kick off at an unusual time of 1 p.m. ET Saturday, and we’ll continue to preview the matchup and then have coverage during and after all the action.
