WWE SmackDown ended with Drew McIntyre getting suspended live on air—but what fans didn’t see was even more intense.
After attacking the referee during the main event between Cody Rhodes and Aleister Black, McIntyre’s night spiraled into chaos. But the real meltdown happened after cameras stopped rolling.
WWE posted unseen footage on social media revealing a full-blown shouting match backstage between Drew McIntyre and SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis. In the clip, Aldis confronts McIntyre and tells him to leave the building immediately. Bobby Roode quickly intervenes, trying to keep the situation from boiling over.
Things got heated fast, with Drew screaming and pointing at both men. At one point, Aldis snaps and yells, “Shut the f**k up!” as Roode continues to shout, “Get out of here!”
McIntyre eventually turns away, visibly seething, and storms off while muttering under his breath.
This comes after a wild main event that ended in complete disorder. With Rhodes and Black down from simultaneous kicks, McIntyre ran in and dropped the official with a Claymore. The scene broke into a brawl involving Cody, Black, Damian Priest, and even Zelina Vega, who was launched into the timekeeper’s area by Priest. Moments later, Aldis appeared and dropped the hammer: “Drew is suspended.”
The new footage adds another layer to McIntyre’s volatile storyline, showing just how far his rage has pushed him. Whether this turns into a longer punishment or simply adds fuel to Drew’s fire is anyone’s guess—but WWE’s cameras definitely caught something fans won’t forget.
Do you think Drew McIntyre deserves a longer suspension after that outburst? Or is WWE just adding to the chaos for storyline drama? Drop your thoughts below and join the conversation.
