by

Amid the offseason, several Indiana Fever players are taking jobs outside the WNBA. The likes of Aerial Powers and Shey Peddy are in Turkey continuing to play basketball, while Sydney Colson, Odyssey Sims, Brianna Turner and Bree Hall are all set to suit up for AU Pro Basketball that starts in February.

Meanwhile, Fever stars Lexie Hull, Aliyah Boston, Kelsey Mitchell are participating in the second season of Unrivaled, the 3-on-3 league founded by WNBA stars Napheesa Collier and Breanna Stewart. Makayla Timpson is also part of the league’s player development pool.

Aari McDonald, who joined the Fever on a hardship contract in 2025 before earning a rest-of-season deal, is also playing in Unrivaled along with several of her Indiana teammates.

McDonald averaged 9.8 points, 2.4 rebounds, 4.7 assists and 1.3 steals for the Fever. However, it’s worth noting that she ended up playing just 20 games after suffering a season-ending foot injury.

By the looks of it, though, McDonald is recovering well and will be ready when Unrivaled Season 2 begins in January.

On Wednesday, Unrivaled announced the rosters of the eight teams competing after the draft conducted by the coaches. McDonald ended up joining one of the brand new teams, as she was drafted by Breeze BC.

McDonald will be teammates with some of the brightest young talents in the WNBA in Paige Bueckers, Rickea Jackson, Dominique Malonga, Kate Martin and Cameron Brink. Breeze BC will be coached by former Seattle Storm head coach Noelle Quinn.
