Christian Leroy Duncan vs. Marco Tulio UFC Vegas 111 preview
Duncan (12-2 MMA, 5-2 UFC) has turned in a stellar 2025 campaign thus far. After a loss to Gregory Rodrigues last July, Duncan has rebounded nicely with a unanimous decision win over Andrey Pulyaev in March and a bonus-earning, first-round finish of Eryk Anders in August.
Tulio (14-1 MMA, 2-0 UFC) brings a 10-fight winning streak into this matchup. The two-time Dana White’s Contender Series veteran (he won both appearances) ran through his first two UFC opponents, stopping Ihor Potieria and Tresean Gore in the first and second rounds, respectively.

Despite having a slew of action fights to choose from on the prelims, Mick Maynard’s middleweight fetish, once again, comes through in flying colors on this week’s Apex card.
Even though middleweight was usually one of the last divisions that former UFC matchmaker Joe Silva would ever select for this low-key important card slot, Maynard makes a habit of force-feeding us as many middleweights as possible. But I digress.
In Maynard’s defense, this fight feels like it could certainly deliver on the entertainment front at first glance.
However, as impressive as Christian Leroy Duncan can look at times, I’m still suspicious about the level of foundation that’s holding his flashy style together. And against a fighter in Marco Tulio, who looks like he is building on firm foundations, it could spell trouble for “CLD” this weekend.
I’ll leave some room to be surprised by both parties, but I suspect we get a semi-surprising stylistic slog that consists of some staring and cage pushing alike (with Tulio landing the more quality strikes throughout).
The pick is Tulio by unanimous decision.
