Daniel Marcos returned to the bantamweight win column in impressive fashion earlier tonight (Sat., Nov. 8, 2025) at UFC Vegas 111 LIVE on ESPN+ from inside UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada, stopping veteran Miles Johns with a second-round submission (rear-naked choke).
Marcos, who was 17-0 before his recent loss to Montel Jackson back in May, was on his game from the opening bell. The Peruvian fighter leaned on his patented striking and kicks before showcasing some wrestling and grappling. Johns is one tough cookie, but Marcos was one step ahead the entire time.
While Marcos has mostly decision wins on his UFC resume the bantamweight contender was definitely going for the kill in the second round. He was able to get behind Johns along the cage and drag him backwards to take his back on the canvas. Marcos then sunk in a nasty rear-naked choke, but Johns didn’t tap. Johns ended up going to sleep as the referee peeled Marcos off him.
