The Alabama Crimson Tide have extended their current winning streak to eight consecutive games.
On Saturday night, the Crimson Tide put what was previously a seven-game winning streak on the line against the LSU Tigers inside Saban Field at Bryant-Denny Stadium, a game where Alabama eventually picked up a 20-9 win.

However, this was a game where the Crimson Tide certainly did not play their best, especially on the offensive side of the ball. LSU gave the Crimson Tide troubles throughout the contest, and even trailed by one possession late in the fourth quarter.
Following are some instant reactions to Alabama’s win against LSU on Saturday night in Tuscaloosa.
Alabama defense is a difference maker
The play of Crimson Tide’s defense was likely the biggest story coming out of Saturday night, limiting the Tigers to only 232 yards of total offense. Alabama’s defense also forced two LSU turnovers via a pair of fumbles, racked up three sacks, held the Tigers to three field goals in the red zone, and limited LSU’s offense to only 59 yards passing.

Alabama struggles offensively
While the Alabama defense was a big positive Saturday night, the Crimson Tide’s offense struggled at times. In all, the Crimson Tide racked up 344 yards of offense, were limited to only three points in the second half, and yet again struggled on the ground, rushing for only 56 yards overall.
Alabama by far least penalized team
Alabama was penalized only twice Saturday night for 25 yards. In comparison, LSU was penalized a total of 10 times for 74 yards.
Alabama improves to 8-1 overall, remains undefeated in SEC
Following a win over LSU, Alabama has improved to 8-1 overall this season, and still remain undefeated in SEC play at 6-0, tied with Texas A&M atop the conference. The Crimson Tide will return to action in Week 12 at home with a massive game against Oklahoma in Tuscaloosa.
