Novak Djokovic lifted the ATP 250 trophy in Athens, celebrating his 101st ATP title after a three-hour final against Lorenzo Musetti. The legend prevailed 4-6, 6-3, 7-5 after a thriller for an emotional moment with his family.

Living in the Greece capital since September, the 24-time Major winner experienced something rare in the often solitary world of tennis – playing and winning in front of his entire family.

Novak's father, mother and brothers came to support him, and he received the trophy from his youngest brother, Djordje, who is the tournament director. The title meant a lot to Djokovic, and he expressed that after the final.

The Greek crowd came to support him in all four duels, creating electrifying atmosphere and giving him strength and confidence in challenging moments, which the legend thanked them for.

Djokovic admitted that the sight of his family and friends in the stands brought both comfort and pressure, creating a special mix of nerves and joy throughout the marathon final that went down to the wire.

Novak even found humor in the tension that surrounded the match. He joked that his father appeared as exhausted as if he had played the final himself. As Djokovic described it, Srdjan almost had a heart attack, and he did not help him by playing such an intense match.

The intensity of the three-hour battle clearly tested everyone in the box. Thus, it turned the triumph into a family-wide emotional experience they will all long remember. After the match, the Djokovic family took a picture with a trophy, with Novak's son Stefan holding it.

For the Serb, the Athens title offered more than another trophy in his rich collection. It was a rare chance to share the highs and lows of competition with those closest to him.

Playing in front of his family provided an extra spark and reminded him why moments like these are worth every sacrifice. After the final, Novak withdrew from the ATP Finals in Turin, wrapping up his season and starting a well-deserved break.

"Tennis can be a lonely sport. You rarely have an opportunity to compete in front of your family and friends. I had that here in Athens, and I tried to use it in the best possible way.

I allowed them to enjoy my matches, and some of them almost had heart attacks, including my father. I would say he has gotten used to it by now, but sometimes it's hard to manage all those emotions.

Of course, I did not help him much today. I saw him after the final, and he looked like he had played a match instead of me. I knew where they sat, and it gave me extra pressure and a nice feeling at the same time," Novak Djokovic said.
