Pakistan star shamelessly copies Hardik Pandya’s iconic celebration after Hong Kong Sixes triumph

by

Pakistan won the Hong Kong Sixes tournament for the record 6th time in the history of the tournament, and one of their players, Muhammad Shahzad, copied the Hardik Pandya trademark celebration from the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 final.

If making a statement with swag and style had any points in cricket, Hardik Pandya, the Indian all-rounder, could steal it all. Known for his flamboyance on and off the field, Pandya gained another quick buzz with his sensational celebration from the T20 World Cup final, which he repeated effortlessly during India’s Champions Trophy triumph.

Hardik was also part of the Indian team that won the Asia Cup 2025, though he himself could not be a part of the Final winning XI due to a serious injury, which ruled him out of action for nearly two months. He is expected to make a comeback with the South Africa white-ball tour from the 30th of November.

Pakistan Cricketer shamelessly copies Hardik Pandya’s celebration

One of the 6 cricketers who were part of the Pakistan team in the Hong Kong Sixes winning squad made a bizarre replica of the Hardik Pandya pose from the ICC T20 World Cup and ICC Champions Trophy wins in 2024 and 2025, respectively.

The player named Mohammad Shahzad was seen carrying the trophy in his hand as he rushed to the middle of the pitch and posed alongside his teammates as well as on his own, and snapped pictures of the moment.

However, Shahzad did not have much of a contribution, having scored just 4 runs off the only delivery he faced and then picking a wicket of Adnan Idrees, the Kuwait opener who was causing much destruction on the crease.

Pakistan fans rate Hong Kong sixes over T20 World Cup

After their team’s triumph in the Hong Kong Sixes tournament, the Pakistan fans have seemingly lost their senses, as they have something to celebrate. Pakistan have not even reached the knockouts of any ICC tournament over the last 3 years; their last such appearance came back in the 2022 ICC T20 World Cup final.

Some of the Pakistani fans have praised the act from the cricketer Shahzad, saying that he has made good use of the celebration, while Hardik Pandya used it to celebrate only fixed trophies like the T20 World Cup. This was not only audacious but also brainless to have made such a remark.

Pakistan won the Hong Kong Sixes title for a record 6th time

Pakistan won their sixth title in the history of the Hong Kong Sixes; they are the most successful team in the history of the tournament. Despite all the success, they have lost just one game in the tournament, and that was against India. India, too, has won just one game, and that was the game against Pakistan.

Their skipper, Abbas Afridi, was the pick of the bowlers and was awarded as player of the tournament. The Pakistan team took home USD 20,000 as the winning side in the competition.
