Texas A&M (9-0, 6-0 SEC) remains the No. 3-ranked team in both the US LBM Coaches Poll and the AP Top 25 poll after blowing out Missouri 38-17 in Columbia on Saturday afternoon, as the Aggies remain atop the SEC Standings before hosting South Carolina in Kyle Field for an early Week 12 kickoff.
This game, combined with the Week 9 49-25 win in Baton Rouge over LSU, isn’t just an impressive stat; it defines the Aggies’ dominance on the road in what is still considered the toughest conference in the country, despite the recent midseason head coach changes for four SEC programs. While the offense racked up 464 yards and five touchdowns, A&M’s defense, outside of giving up over 200 yards rushing, was impressive throughout the night.

Led by junior safety Dalton Brooks’s six tackles, fumble recovery, and 48-yard run after the Aggies’ fake punt on 4th & 3, the Aggie defense held freshman quarterback Matt Zollers to a mere 77 passing yards, and outside of a successful running date, eliminated the balanced approach Missouri head coach Eli Drinkwitz was looking to establish.
Sitting at 9-0, finishing 12-0 for the first time in program history is the primary goal, paired with making the College Football Playoff and the SEC Championship Game. With consecutive home games against South Carolina and Samford up next, everything is in front of them.
South Carolina’s 2025 season has been a massive disappointment, sitting at 3-6 and 1-6 in the SEC, and, aside from the Gamecocks’ close home loss to Alabama, every loss except for one has been by double digits.
While the defense has been average at best, quarterback La’Norris Sellers has been the primary issue, throwing for 1,536 yards, seven touchdowns, and five interceptions. In comparison, his usually high rushing numbers have dipped to 158 yards and three scores.

It doesn’t help that Sellers has been sacked 33 times and will now face Texas A&M’s pass rush that has produced 34 sacks on the year.
Texas A&M and South Carolina will officially face off in Kyle Field at 11:00 a.m. on ESPN, as the 11:00 a.m. ABC slot will go to Notre Dame vs. Pitt, which makes sense.
