STILLWATER — In a most fitting moment, Achol Akot scored the basket that put the Oklahoma State women’s basketball team in triple-digits Sunday, drawing the biggest cheer of the game from the Gallagher-Iba Arena Crowd.
Akot started strong and kept the momentum going on her way to a 23-point performance in the Cowgirls’ 112-62 win over Oral Roberts.

Along with Akot, OSU had all five starters and two reserves score in double-figures. Micah Gray made 4 of 7 shots from 3-point range to score 14, and Jadyn Wooten came off the bench with 14 points, nine assists and seven rebounds.
OSU (4-0) has scored 97 or more in all four games this season, and over 100 three times.

But she’s already posted two double-digit scoring efforts in her first four games as a Cowgirl, also registering her first double-double with 23 points and 10 rebounds.
Her previous career high was 19 last season for UCF.
On Sunday, Akot missed her second shot of the game, then made her next seven attempts on her way to 16 points by halftime.
Cowgirls post record quarter
Powered by Akot’s strong start, OSU led 37-8 at the end of the first quarter.
That was the highest-scoring quarter in program history, dating back to when the game switched from halves to quarters in 2015-16.
Akot had 10 points in the quarter, while Heard and Gray added eight apiece.
