Hannah Hidalgo, Notre Dame women’s basketball gets offensive in win over Chicago State

by

Notre Dame’s women’s basketball team was very offensive on Sunday afternoon.

The No. 15 Fighting Irish enjoyed a dominant 116-58 win over Chicago State inside of Purcell Pavilion. All five starters scored in double figures, led by Hannah Hidalgo’s 32-point effort. Cassandre Prosper (28 points) and KK Bransford (21) each had notable days as well, notching career highs for scoring.

It’s the second straight win to tip off the 2025-26 women’s college basketball season following the team’s win this past Wednesday over FDU.

They didn’t complete it, but both Hidalgo and Prosper were in triple-double range, as Hidalgo added eight rebounds and eight assists (to go along with four steals), while Prosper finished with a career-high eight steals and seven rebounds.

The 116 points rank sixth in program history for most points in a game.

The Fighting Irish next have a matchup against Akron (7 p.m. ET, ACCNX) this Wednesday back at Purcell Pavilion.
