Entering the season at No. 9 in the Associated Press Top-25 rankings, CBS Sports writer Kyle Boone is predicting that Kentucky moves up a couple of spots to No. 7 in the new rankings that will be released later today.
Big Ten Network reporter Andy Katz has Kentucky at No. 8 in his Power 37 rankings.
Evan Miya also lists Kentucky at No. 8 in their rankings while Haslametrics is putting Kentucky at No. 5.
Kentucky has done all they can do, which is beat the team in front of them.
However, the real test of the season comes tomorrow night as the Wildcats travel 78 miles to in-state rival and No. 11-ranked Louisville.

Rankings don’t mean everything, either, as ESPN’s Basketball Power Index is giving the Wildcats just a 27.1% chance to win.

Kentucky will return to their home court on Friday to host the Eastern Illinois Panthers with tip-off scheduled for 7 PM ET and coverage on SEC Network PLUS as well as the UK Radio Sports Network.
