The No. 3 Texas A&M Aggies are 9-0 and riding their best stretch since the early 1990s. A top spot in the College Football Playoff and a berth in the SEC Championship Game are well within reach with three regular-season games remaining.
On Saturday, linebacker Daymion Sanford once again delivered in a pivotal moment during the matchup against Missouri, forcing a fumble that was returned to the two-yard line. That turnover set up a touchdown for the Aggies just before halftime, allowing A&M to take a two-score lead into the break before kicking off to the Tigers to start the third quarter. Sanford has emerged as a consistent contributor on defense and boasts a promising future.

On Monday, the SEC named the junior LB as the SEC Defensive Player of the Week after a five-tackle, two-TFL, one-sack weekend on the road against Missouri. Below is the excerpt from the release from the conference officials:
