Similar to their status in the Week 2 AP women’s college basketball Top 25 poll, Iowa women’s basketball’s (2-0) two blowout wins over Southern (86-51) and Evansville (119-43) to open the 2025-26 campaign have kept the Hawkeyes firmly in its positioning in the Nov. 11 release of the USA TODAY Sports women’s basketball coaches poll.
In the newest release on Tuesday morning, the Hawkeyes earned 106 points from USA TODAY Sports coaches poll voters, which is actually 15 more points than they earned in the Oct. 23 preseason poll. Despite the increase in voter points, Iowa stands pat at the No. 23 spot.

Including Iowa, the Big Ten has seven programs ranked in the latest Top 25. Joining Iowa in the rankings are No. 4 UCLA (3-0), No. 7 Maryland (3-0), No. 10 USC (2-0), No. 15 Michigan (2-0), No. 24 Michigan State (2-0), and No. 25 Ohio State (1-0).
Fellow Big Ten squads Washington (17 points), Minnesota (6 points), and Nebraska (2 points) are receiving votes.

The Buckeyes were the only Big Ten team to slide in this week’s top 25 rankings, falling one spot from No. 24 to No. 25.
Conversely, the Trojans saw the largest increase, jumping six spots from No. 16 to No. 10. The Spartans also jumped into the Top 25 by moving up four spots, while the Terrapins saw a three-spot increase.
