Over the past two seasons, there has been a lot of turnover when it comes to the Ohio State men’s basketball roster. While guys like Bruce Thornton, Devin Royal, and John Mobley Jr. have stayed in Columbus, plenty of others have transferred to other schools to continue their collegiate careers.
Here is how the guys who have transferred from Ohio State are playing to start the season.

Meechie Johnson
Johnson, who is back at South Carolina after only playing eight games last season for Ohio State after transferring back to Columbus from South Carolina, has gotten off to the hottest start of all the transfers.
Johnson had a career-high 33 points to lead the Gamecocks to an 83-79 win over Southern Mississippi. With the Gamecocks trailing 67-59 and just over two minutes left to play, he made three deep three-pointers in succession, tying the game with just 30 seconds left to play. He also made two free throws to force overtime.
In the Gamecocks’ first game, he recorded 14 points in a 20-point win over North Carolina A&T. Through the first two games, he is averaging 23.5 points per game, 4.0 rebounds per game, and 3.5 assists per game on 43.8% shooting from the field.
Aaron Bradshaw
The Memphis Tigers have only played one game so far, a 76-70 win over San Francisco. Bradshaw started at center, but only played eight minutes before fouling out. He finished with seven points on 2-for-7 from the field and three rebounds.
Sean Stewart
Stewart has played two games for the Oregon Ducks, coming off the bench in both. He is averaging 8.5 points per game and 6.0 rebounds per game in 22 minutes per game.
Evan Mahaffey
Mahaffey transferred to Akron, joining former Buckeye Bowen Hardman, and is averaging 9.0 points per game, 5.5 rebounds per game, and 5.0 assists per game for a talented Akron team. He is playing 27 minutes a game to this point.
Austin Parks
Parks transferred to Toledo to be their starting center and is averaging 7.0 points per game and 3.0 rebounds per game in 20 minutes per game. He needs to work on his efficiency, as he is only shooting 46.2% from the field.
Scotty Middleton
After spending last season at Seton Hall, the former Buckeye forward transferred to Tulane and is averaging 8.5 points per game and 5.0 rebounds per game through two games and 28 minutes played per game.

Last season at Seton Hall, he averaged 5.8 points per game and 2.3 rebounds per game in 21 minutes played per game.
Roddy Gayle
The Michigan Wolverines have only played one game this season, but it was a decisive win over Oakland. Gayle played 21 minutes, recording 11 points on 5-for-7 shooting from the field and 1-for-3 from three-point range. He added four rebounds and one assist.
Last year for Michigan, he averaged 9.8 points per game, 3.4 rebounds per game, and 2.2 assists per game with 26.2 minutes per game in 36 games played.
Felix Okpara
In his second season at Tennessee, Okpara is averaging 4.5 points per game and 6.5 rebounds per game in 17 minutes played per game. The Vols have played two blowout games, so Okpara’s minutes will increase.

Last season, he averaged 7.1 points per game and 6.4 rebounds per game in 25.8 minutes played for Tennessee. He shot 58.9% from the field.
Bowen Hardman
In 17.5 minutes played per game, the former Buckeye sharpshooter is averaging 6.5 points per game on 27.3% three-point shooting. Last season, he played 15.4 minutes per game and averaged 6.6 points per game while shooting 39.8% from three-point range.
