Beech senior offensive lineman Jack Fuchs committed to Northwestern, he announced Nov. 11, flipping his commitment from Penn State football in the wake of former Nittany Lions coach James Franklin’s firing.
Penn State fired Franklin, the former Vanderbilt football coach, on Oct. 12 following a three-game losing skid to Oregon, UCLA and Northwestern. Fuchs reopened his recruitment to other schools on Oct. 20 while still maintaining a commitment to Penn State.

The 6-foot-8, 290-pound Fuchs is a member of The Tennessean’s 2025 Dandy Dozen list of top TSSAA football senior college recruits in Nashville. He’s a three-star prospect ranked as the No. 42 offensive tackle nationally and No. 16 player overall from Tennessee in the 2026 class, per the 247Sports Composite.
Fuchs is the son of Tennessee Titans assistant offensive line coach Scott Fuchs.

Jack Fuchs was a third-team Tennessean All-Midstate Large Class selection last season while helping Beech go 11-2 and reach the quarterfinals of the TSSAA Class 5A playoffs. The Buccaneers averaged 240 yards rushing per game with him at left tackle.
Fuchs’ other offers include Arkansas, Cincinnati, Indiana, Georgia Tech, Kansas, Kansas State, Kentucky, Louisville, Mississippi State, Northwestern, Ole Miss, South Carolina and Vanderbilt.
