The New York Giants are expected to start Jameis Winston over Russell Wilson in their Week 11 game against the Green Bay Packers if Jaxson Dart is unable to play, according to multiple reports.
New York’s decision to elevate Winston to its No. 2 quarterback comes two days after the Giants fired Brian Daboll as head coach. Dart has remained in concussion protocol since being injured in the fourth quarter of New York’s Week 10 loss to the Chicago Bears.

Wilson, who began the season as the Giants’ starting quarterback, replaced Dart after he was injured against Chicago. Winston has not previously started for the Giants this season.
Dart had helped stake the Giants to a 17-7 lead and was driving for another potential score when he was injured. Bears quarterback Caleb Wilson led Chicago to a 24-20 comeback victory after Dart left the game — a loss that dropped the Giants to 2-8 on the season.
Daboll was fired the following day. Dart, who has been evaluated for concussions four times this season, has not yet been cleared to play against the Packers.
