A.J. McKee isn’t going anywhere.
On Wednesday, PFL CEO John Martin announced that McKee has re-signed to remain with the promotion. Terms of the deal were not released.
McKee, 30, made his debut in April 2015 and spent his entire professional career with Bellator before the PFL acquired Bellator in November 2023. Since then, McKee (23-2) has competed three times under the PFL banner, going 2-1 with wins over Clay Collard and Akhmed Magomedov and a loss to Paul Hughes. McKee’s most recent appearance came in July when he defeated Magomedov by unanimous decision.
McKee reached the pinnacle in July 2021 when he defeated Patricio Freire by first-round technical submission in the Bellator featherweight grand prix to claim the 145-pound championship. Less than nine months later, the two rivals ran it back, with Freire winning a unanimous decision in the rematch.
McKee has long expressed a desire to compete in the UFC, but PFL is where his career will continue to unfold.
