MLB Awards, Capital One MLB Open to feature more than 70 MLB stars

More than 70 current and former Major League Baseball players, as well as stars from the AUSL (Athletes Unlimited Softball League), are descending upon Las Vegas for the MLB Awards presented by MGM Rewards and the inaugural Capital One MLB Open Hosted at Shadow Creek.

The third annual MLB Awards presented by MGM Rewards return to The Chelsea at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas on Thursday, November 13 and will air live on MLB Network from 9-11 p.m. Eastern. Current and retired players scheduled to attend the awards show include Ronald Acuña Jr., Corbin Carroll, Pete Crow-Armstrong, Dexter Fowler, Adam Jones, Cal Raleigh, CC Sabathia, Gary Sheffield, Will Smith and Juan Soto. Four-time World Series Champion and perennial MLB All-Star Mookie Betts takes the stage this year in front of a live audience to co-host the MLB Awards show with renowned comedian, Emmy-nominated producer and baseball fanatic Roy Wood Jr. This will be Betts’ first time hosting an awards show, though he was nominated for a 2024 Sports Emmy for Emerging On-Air Talent for his work with Bleacher Report, TBS and FOX Sports.

The Hank Aaron Award winners, Comeback Players of the Year, Mariano Rivera & Trevor Hoffman Relievers of the Year, Edgar Martinez Outstanding Designated Hitter of the Year and selections for the All-MLB First and Second Teams will be announced during the awards show. Scheduled to attend the MLB Awards Show are select award finalists, in addition to those playing in the Capital One MLB Open. Below are lists of scheduled attendees.

MLB’s new competitive golf tournament at Shadow Creek, the exclusive course owned by MGM Resorts International, will be a cornerstone of MLB Awards Week, November 12-14. Sixty current and former Major Leaguers representing all 30 Clubs are scheduled to participate in the Capital One MLB Open, including Jimmy Rollins, Will Smith, John Smoltz, Justin Turner and David Wright. A complete list of pairings is below and available on MLB.com, while many of the participating players will also attend the MLB Awards Show. Tournament coverage airs Tuesday night, November 18, on TNT. A behind-the-scenes program of the tournament airs on MLB Network on Thursday, November 20 at 9 p.m. ET, with extensive coverage to follow on Saturday, November 22 at 1 p.m. ET.
