Alabama basketball is bound for the highest-ranked non-conference matchup to ever be played in Coleman Coliseum.

No. 1 Purdue makes its way to Tuscaloosa to face the No. 9 Crimson Tide on Thursday, Nov. 13.

The matchup will mark the season-debut of Trey Kaufman Renn − who scored a career-high 26 points in Alabama‘s 87-78 loss to the Boilermakers last November − as he returns from a hip injury. As for Alabama, the availability report is expected to be less crowded than it was for the season opener against North Dakota.

Coach Nate Oats still anticipates that Tarleton State transfer Keitenn Bristow (ankle) will be unavailable, and announced on Wednesday that freshman center Collins Onyejiaka will be out indefinitely with a “medical condition.”

Although Onyejiaka played limited minutes in his first two games for Alabama, not having a 6-foot-11, 265 pound option in the frontcourt makes the Crimson Tide’s tests in the post that much taller.
