Lady Vols basketball forward Alyssa Latham is out for Tennessee’s home matchup with Belmont.
The 6-foot-2 junior wasn’t present on the court while the rest of her team went through warmups before facing the Bruins (1-1) at Food City Center on Nov. 13 (7 p.m. ET, SEC Network). Latham will not be available for the game, a Tennessee spokesperson told Knox News. A reason for her absence was not provided.

Latham has played 13 minutes per game in three games this season for Tennessee (2-1).
Latham has only averaged 2.7 points and 3.0 rebounds, but she’s an important piece of Tennessee’s rotation on both ends of the court, especially on defense. She is also an efficient scorer and doesn’t force her shots. Latham has shot 50% from the field this season.
Latham appeared in 34 games last season after transferring from Syracuse. She averaged 3.9 points, 3.7 rebounds in 14.1 minutes per game. She shot 47.8% from the field and 31.3% on 10 made 3-pointers.
Her absence also takes away from Tennessee’s forward depth. She’s one of only four forwards on the roster and one of six players 6-2 or taller.
