UFC 322 start time
-
Date: Saturday, November 15
-
Time: 10 p.m. ET (8 p.m. ET for prelims) | 7 p.m. PT
UFC 322 is in Madison Square Garden in New York on November 15. The early prelims start at 6:30 p.m. ET, while the prelims are at 8 p.m. ET. The main card starts at 10 p.m. ET. The main event should start around 12:30 a.m. ET, depending on how long the undercard fights last.
Della Maddalena (18-2) last lost a fight in 2016, as he is currently on an eighteen-fight win streak. The Aussie beat Belal Muhammad at UFC 315 in May to win the UFC welterweight title.
The champion managed to stuff several takedown attempts from Muhammad in their fight. He believes Makhachev will present a similar but more aggressive challenge on the floor. Della Maddalena is ready for whatever comes his way.

“It’s going to start on the feet, and we’ll go from there. I think he’s going to try and mix it up,” Della Maddalena said via Middle Easy. “I think he’ll probably try getting on wrestling early, I’d imagine. Looking back at the Belal fight, he probably sees that Belal’s mistake was maybe not getting on the wrestling early.
“Yeah, expecting the first round to be getting into some grappling exchanges… I’m going to go for it. Obviously, that would be the best-case scenario: Get the finish. I can see it happening. I can see blowing the roof off MSG, taking out the pound-for-pound No. 1 with no doubts. A finish would be the dream.”
Holding the record for most consecutive lightweight title defenses, Makhachev (27-1) vacated the UFC lightweight title to compete in this fight. The Russian hasn’t lost a fight since 2016.
There’s a chance Makhachev faces Ilia Topuria with a win. The former is more focused on becoming a two-division champion and further cementing his legacy as a pound-for-pound great.

“This is the biggest fight for me in my career,” Makhachev told ESPN via MMA Junkie. “When I fought for the title the first time, this is very different. We have a lot of world champions, but not a lot of double champions. I want to be one of them.
“This is the biggest challenge for me. It’s very hard, and I deserve my chance. I defended my (lightweight) belt more than everybody, and now it’s a new step.”
