BYU Basketball’s biggest game of the new season will be Saturday evening in Boston against the UConn Huskies.
The BYU Cougars are 3-0 and last played on Tuesday at the Marriott Center against the Delaware Blue Hens. Though BYU struggled through the first half and change, they came out victorious by a final score of 85-68. BYU’s other wins came over Holy Cross and Villanova. The Villanova game was part of the Hall of Fame Series – Las Vegas, while the Saturday showdown against UConn is part of the Hall of Fame Series – Boston.

UConn, out of the Big East Conference, has also started the season 3-0. They played at their home arena against Columbia on Monday, defeating them by a final score of 89-62. The Huskies other wins are against UMass Lowell and New Haven.
Saturday marks just the second time that BYU and UConn basketball have met up, with the first time coming back in the NCAA Tournament opening round in 2003. BYU lost that game. ESPN’s Matchup Predictor favors UConn, giving them a 65 percent chance of winning the game. This will be BYU Basketball’s first Top 10 Matchup since 2011.
