No. 3 Texas A&M (9-0, 6-0 SEC) will host South Carolina (3-6, 1-6 SEC) for an early Saturday afternoon kickoff, as the Aggies look to stay undefeated, knowing that after facing the Gamecocks, only FCS Samford stands in the way of taking on No. 10 Texas on Black Friday.
This week, head coach Mike Elko, starting quarterback Marcel Reed, and junior linebacker Taurean York spoke to the media, all conveying the same message that the focus remains on each opponent. At the same time, the Gamecocks’ losing record should be ignored, knowing that veteran quarterback LaNorris Sellers shredded the Aggie defense for over 350 yards and three touchdowns last season.

Texas A&M’s 23rd-ranked defense has produced 34 sacks, tied with the Texas Longhorns for first place nationally, and will now face a South Carolina offensive line that has surrendered 33 sacks in nine games, already tying last season’s total.
Still, Texas A&M’s offense will be the focal point, needing to avoid slow starts and build a sizeable lead early, avoid turnovers, and keep South Carolina’s defense from setting the tone.
