Sean Brady is fine.
The No. 2-ranked Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Welterweight contender suffered a rough first-round knockout loss to rising phenom Michael Morales in the “Featured bout” of UFC 322 last night (Sat., Nov. 15, 2025) inside the iconic Madison Square Garden (watch highlights).

One day later, after getting out of the hospital (details), Brady took to Instagram to address the setback and reassure fans after the violent finish.
“First of all, I just want to say that I am healthy and doing fine.
This sport comes with the highest highs and the lowest lows, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. I’m living my dream every single day I open my eyes, and this loss won’t change that.
Thank you to my beautiful family, my team, my friends, sponsors and everyone who supports me — it means the world. This is just another lesson on my journey. I’ll be back to training and getting back on the horse sooner rather than later.”
Brady (18-2) gambled a potential Welterweight title shot by accepting a dangerous fight against a surging young killer that was six spots lower than him in Morales, and it backfired in a big way. The loss snapped Brady’s three-fight win streak — a run that included victories over former champion Leon Edwards, as well as established names Gilbert Burns and Kelvin Gastelum.
At 32, Brady’s stock takes a significant hit, especially considering another Welterweight on the card produced a viral knockout that may have leapfrogged him in the title picture. Still, two strong wins could put the Philadelphia standout right back into contention.

Maybe revisiting a matchup with Jack Della Maddalena — that was supposed to happen in 2023 — is the move to make next.
