Maxxine Dupri Posts Honest Message After Winning WWE Women’s IC Title

by

Maxxine Dupri has broken her silence after pulling off the biggest victory of her career at Madison Square Garden.

Just two days after defeating Becky Lynch to win the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship, she took to social media with a message that captured just how much the moment meant to her.

Maxxine’s win wasn’t just surprising because of who she beat — it’s how rare it is for her to win singles matches at all. Bryan Alvarez revealed on Wrestling Observer Radio that this was only the second singles pinfall win of her entire WWE main roster career. Her last? Over Valhalla in July 2023. But this update from Maxxine shows the emotion behind the moment — and just how many people helped her get there. In a lengthy post on November 19, Maxxine wrote from the heart:

“I thought I would wake up today with the words to describe what Monday night meant to me, but alas here I am never wanting to wake up from this dream 🥹 Madison Square Garden, I LOVE YOU. WWE Universe, I LOVE YOU. @thedungeon2.0, I LOVE YOU. @flatbackstraining, I LOVE YOU. @shanehelmscom, I LOVE YOU. The Performance Center, I LOVE YOU. My Alpha Babes, I LOVE YOU. @aluke23, I LOVE YOU. My day one support crew (you know who you are), I LOVE YOU. @theajmendez, I LOVE YOU. My insanely supportive parents, I LOVE YOU.”

She finished her message by emphasizing that this moment is just the beginning:

“This win is so much bigger than me – I wouldn’t be here without EVERY single person that guided me along the way. And now it’s back to the lab, because I never want to let go of this feeling. We have so much more work to do. Thank you for being on this ride with me. ❤️‍🩹 XO, The IConic Champ”

The post was accompanied by a photo of Maxxine clutching her newly-won title after the final bell — a true full-circle shot that made her story all the more powerful.

AJ Lee’s return at ringside was key to the win, helping Maxxine score the upset with a top-rope crossbody on Lynch. And while the victory itself shocked many, her response is reminding fans why she may be one of the most determined names on the roster.

Maxxine’s momentum is real — but whether this title reign lasts or not, she made history at The Garden. And based on her message, she’s nowhere near done.
