Now is your chance to own a little bit of Erie Moon Mammoths history.

The Minor League alternate identity heard ’round the world — the Erie Moon Mammoths — immediately became a household name after HBO’s “Last Week Tonight” host John Oliver and his team cooked up the idea, temporarily rebranding the Double-A Erie SeaWolves to great fanfare this summer.

The mascot, the gear, the story — the entire rollout was unforgettable, totally unique, totally “Last Week Tonight.” The Moon Mammoths immediately became their own strange little slice of baseball history.

This week, the show made several awesome Moon Mammoths items available at its newly launched auction website, John Oliver’s Junk. Oliver announced the auction on the 2025 finale episode of “Last Week Tonight,” saying the auction would continue through Nov. 24.

Proceeds go to the Public Media Bridge Fund, which is assisting local public broadcasters in temporarily finding new funds in the wake of the closure of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting earlier this year.

Minor League Baseball fans interested in bidding on unique gear should also check out MiLB Auctions, which is loaded with cool stuff for fans of every team.
