Indiana football added another name to its incoming recruiting class when Benjamin Novak, a 3-star offensive lineman in the class of 2027 out of Andrean High School in Merrillville, Indiana, announced he’d be flipping his commitment from Wisconsin to the Hoosiers.
Novak’s commitment comes days after Indiana beat Wisconsin 31-7 at Memorial Stadium this past Saturday. He originally committed to the Badgers last October. He’s the fourth offensive lineman in the class of 2027 and the sixth in-state prospect to commit to the Hoosiers.

He ranks in as the 89th highest-rated IOL in the class of 2027 and 960th highest-rated prospect overall, per On3’s Rivals Industry Ranking.
Of some level of note, Indiana offensive line coach Bob Bostad previously worked the same position at Wisconsin prior to Luke Fickell’s hiring in Madison. Bostad was brought onto Tom Allen’s final staff ahead of the 2023 season and was retained by Curt Cignetti when he took the job.
Indiana’s line has largely been built out of experienced players from the final years of the Allen era and transfer portal additions, so it’ll be interesting to see Bostad build out a line through high school recruiting over time.
