AEW Confirms 2025 Continental Classic Start Date

by

AEW has officially confirmed that the 2025 edition of the Continental Classic will begin next Wednesday, November 26, during their annual Thanksgiving Eve broadcast. The announcement came during the November 19 episode of AEW Dynamite, live from Boston, ending speculation about the tournament’s return.

Since its inception in 2023, the Continental Classic has become a staple of AEW’s year-end calendar. While fans have been waiting for confirmation, the company had stayed quiet—until now.

This year’s tournament will once again feature a round-robin format, though the full lineup of competitors has yet to be announced. Traditionally, twelve wrestlers have competed, and that format is expected to continue.

Current AEW Continental Champion Kazuchika Okada is presumed to be a lock for this year’s tournament, especially as he eyes a second straight victory to cement his dominance. Meanwhile, former tournament winner Eddie Kingston is back in the mix after missing last year’s competition due to injury, setting up a potential redemption arc.

The stage is set for another intense Continental Classic, with AEW likely to announce the full lineup in the coming days. The pressure is on for returning champions and new contenders alike to leave their mark before the year ends.

Which AEW stars do you want to see in the 2025 Continental Classic? Could we see a major upset, or will Okada and Kingston run it back? Drop your picks and predictions in the comments below.
