It’s always interesting to see how close the old system, the BCS, compares with the current system, the College Football Playoff, and for Notre Dame, it’s right.
Social media account BCSKnowHow.com posted what the top-12 would look like in the BCS and interestingly enough, every team that would receive a bye (Ohio State, Indiana, Texas A&M and Georgia) are all in the exact same spot.

Where it starts to get interesting is at No. 5 though No. 8 as the CFP has Texas Tech, Ole Miss, Oregon, and Oklahoma in those spots. The BCS has it a bit differently with Ole Miss, Oregon, Alabama, then Texas Tech. For the most part it’s all the same team with the exception of the Sooners and Crimson Tide. Odd that the BCS has Alabama higher, as they just lost to Oklahoma this past weekend.
Notre Dame would be No. 9 in the BCS, match its current CFP ranking, as does No. 11 BYU and No. 12 Utah. For the most part, the polls are almost exactly the same, with just a bit of seeding differentiation between them.
It’s good to know that while many might be objecting to how the committee ranked the top teams, that there would still be people angry about the BCS.
