Prince drops 30 in Nebraska’s 103-58 win over Oral Roberts

Nebraska women’s basketball (5-0) returned home to play host to Oral Roberts (2-4) on Wednesday night. The Huskers earned another victory, blowing out the Golden Eagles 103-58.

Nebraska started its run early, going 29-7 in the first. The Huskers struck consistently throughout the night, scoring 23 or more points in each quarter and finishing 38-of-74 from the floor. Nebraska also shot 9-of-23 from beyond the arc and 18-of-19 from the free throw line and outrebounded Oral Roberts 49-27. The Golden Eagles finished 22-of-59, 7-of-20 and 7-of-13, respectively.

Britt Prince posted a career-high in scoring in the team win, dropping a team-high 30 points after shooting 13-of-18 from the floor and 4-of-6 from three-point range. She surpassed her previous career-high of 24 points, which she tallied against the UCLA Bruins last season during the Big Ten Tournament.

Kansas State transfer Eliza Maupin finished 8-of-11 from the floor and 1-of-2 from the foul line to rack up 17 points, one point shy of her career high. Jessica Petrie rounded out Nebraska’s double-digit scorers, posting 10 points after shooting 2-of-4 from the floor and 6-of-6 from the free throw line. Petra Bozan led the Huskers in rebounds, hauling in 10.

Nebraska travels down to Niceville, Florida, for its first tournament of the season: the Emerald Coast Classic. The Huskers start the tournament against Purdue-Fort Wayne on Monday night. Tipoff is set for 5 p.m. CT on FloHoops.
