We have some CBA news.

The latest proposal would raise max salary from $250,000 to just a bit less than $250,000 and under the current CBA to $1.1 million.
The minimum salary, now about $66,000, for zero- to two-year players, You know, new players would move to $220,000.
Now, this is still being negotiated.
But it’s at least the latest proposal that we do have.
Your thoughts and your initial reaction.
We’ve heard many players talk about wanting to reach that one million mark.
So, I think in terms of salary numbers, that’s very good.
Clearly, these are just the numbers we’re given, and players have consistently They talked about wanting a revenue-share model that they feel allows them to grow with business.

We have not heard anything about that yet.
I also think that once they do come to an agreement on revenue share, There are so many things down the line to figure out.
The biggest one I want to mention now is that, sitting here in mid-November, is prioritization.
That is the clause that requires players to be back with their WNBA team in time for training.

So what it’s essentially doing is limiting you.
Opportunities to play overseas, where you play overseas.
How long you play overseas.
It makes complete sense from the owner’s side.
We’ve talked about this before.
You want your best players on the court to begin the season.

That’s the most exciting time.
The reason I think its important to raise now, though, It’s because Project B, the overseas kind of barnstorming league has begun announcing its Players: Nnanna Agbimike, Jewell Lloyd, John Quill Jones.
Athletes Unlimited held its media day event.
They are gearing up for their season in January.
And then, uh, unrivaled in the league by Breanna Stewart and Nafisa Collier.
They are also preparing for the next season of their league.
So these things are beginning to solidify themselves in women’s basketball Landscape is something to consider as CBA moves forward.
